Class Types

We’ve designed a learn-to-swim program for your child to develop their water skills

​Water Baby Beginner – from 6 to 18 months
This parent-assisted class is designed to introduce babies to the water. Learning basic swimming skills with the help of a parent/guardian.
 
Water Baby Advanced – from 18 months to 3 years
This parent-assisted class develops basic water skills like going under water, free floating, kicking and climbing out of the pool without help.
 
Level 1 – from 3 to 4 years
In this class your child learns to safely enter and exit the water on their own. They are confident in the water without goggles, can swim a metre in the pool and return to the edge unaided.
 
Level 2 – age 4 (about)
Your child will learn to float on their back holding a kick-board, can swim unaided for 3 metres and can pickup objects from the bottom of the pool with assistance.
 
Level 3
Your child will learn to paddle and kick with eyes down in the water, to float unaided, to jump in and get out of the water unaided, and to swim for 5 metres taking a breath between strokes.
 
Level 4
Your child will learn to swim unaided for 10 metres, learn freestyle and backstroke, and to swim confidently without goggles.
 
Level 5
Your child will learn to swim 10 metres freestyle and backstroke, and learn the breaststroke kick and arm drills.
 
Level 6
your child will learn to swim freestyle and backstroke for 15 to 30 metres. They will master breaststroke and be able to swim it for 10-metres. They will develop an understanding of water safety and learn how to help someone else to safety.
 
Level 7
Your child will learn to swim freestyle and backstroke for 50 metres, and breaststroke for 30 metres. They will learn to swim butterfly for 15 metres and to tread water.

Pod Squads 1
Your child will learn to swim two laps of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke in under one minute (per swim style). They will also be able to swim one lap butterfly in under one minute. They will develop their skills in swim drills and stroke types.
